Project: Bathroom and Sauna Renovation

Two Trees Construction was referred to this homeowner by an existing client of ours after they have been experiencing major headaches with an unqualified contractor. The bathroom renovation project in Winnipeg, Manitoba was started 6 months before they contacted Two Trees Construction and there was no sign of it being completed anytime soon.

After inspecting the work that had been done already, we found numerous problems. The water proofing membrane in the walk-in tile shower was incorrectly installed. There would have been a major leaking problem if the shower was used in its current state. There was even a chance the whole membrane would have peeled away from the wall, taking the tile with it. We redid everything that was involved with the tile, including the ditra membrane used on the concrete floor. We installed tile with a comfortable in-floor heat system so it would always be warm to the touch. We added clear cedar benches in the sauna using hidden fasteners to give it a nice, clean look.

The final touches were a custom glass door and a new vanity. Two Trees Construction guided the homeowners through the mistakes and problems with a fair price and time efficient solution.
